Zassenhaus Coffee Mill
Adjustable Precision Milling Machine.
In the last moment Zassenhaus, which was founded in 1867 in Westphalia as a specialist for precision milling machines for domestic use, was able to reconsolidate.
So, we continue to offer this coffee mill. The innards include an adjustable, precision ground mill, equipped with a centrically mounted grinding cone guided by four cams. The solid beech wood chassis is tapered in the middle to easily hold it between the legs while grinding.
Manual Coffee Mills.
For decades that cheerful raspy grinding noise has been the signal that the Sunday coffee is on the way. But our grinders are not "retro". They are for those people who drink coffee in moderation (or, who want to moderate their consumption). The result is good and they operate very smoothly. They are in fact simple, comprehensible, sturdy machines, every last screw of which is available as a replacement part, not that the need for one will often arise.
Fresh Ground Coffee.
If there is anything to be learned from the coffee machine boom in the recent past (aside from the fact that the maintenance per annum for an automatic machine will easily run a third of what is costs to buy a new one), it’s this: What you taste in the cup depends on the bean, but the interval between grinding and brewing is also decisive. The oils responsible for the taste and aroma are not particularly stable. As soon as the roasted bean is crushed in the form of ground coffee, it rapidly loses body and taste. Regardless of how it is brewed, a coffee mill is a must.
