Borosilicate glass is odorless and tasteless and can be used in the oven or microwave, on the stove, in the refrigerator and dishwasher.
Volume 1.2 l. Height 16 cm, Ø 15.5 cm. Weight 420 g.

Borosilicate glass (heat-resistant up to 450 °C), a special glass for the optical and chemical industry developed by Ernst Abbe and Otto Schott in the Jena glassworks as long ago as 1891, and, which promptly went on to conquer the world. The nearby Bauhaus designers were fascinated with the idea of using laboratory glass in the kitchen and gave the new material a contemporary form. Today the products are mainly produced in the Czech Republic.
