Ascetic bathroom utensils made of a ring and a rod.
The utensils designed by the architect Theo Keller are manufactured in a metalworking shop in southern Germany with a large component of hand craftsmanship. All utensils, from the hand towel rack to the soap holder, to the toilet dispenser, are made by bending, buckling and turning the same material, a stainless steel rod with a diameter of 8 mm. The only fastening element is a stainless steel ring turned on a lathe, with a single screw. There are no other parts like covers. The ring provides fixed or movable mounting for the various pieces of equipment. An additional hexagonal socket locking screw is provided for secure mounting. The bathroom designer has at his disposal a bathroom series that is "finished, ascetic and timeless". We can’t add anything more. The North Rhine-Westphalian Design center awarded the quality of this design with the Red Dot Award for product design in 2004, one of the most important prizes for industrial design.
