A young German mathematician has created this solitaire game for those who love to ponder. It is as fascinating as it is enchantingly simple and is called Sia Sola. Sia, a little-known goddess in Egyptian mythology, represents reason, understanding and wisdom. So the name indicates the path to success, meaning “reason alone”.
The aim of the game is for the two large figures to change places on the board. This is more difficult than appears at first sight. Firstly, the figures can only be moved horizontally and vertically and must not be moved to the section where the other figure is standing. Secondly, the small marbles which limit possible moves by their positioning are repositioned after every move, so that the situation on the board is constantly changing.
So, in order to win, the player must not only study the positions of the figures and the marbles but also plan strategically in advance. So that the start of the game is not always the same, the set of cards which is included provides 32 starting constellations of four different degrees of difficulty – and on the reverse of the cards are shown the optimum moves. This game has only just come on the market and is only available from us in this design.
