The Beauty Of Salmon. A Bag and Wallet In One.
A pochette is a wallet and bag in one. As a „Porte-Tout“ it will carry everything. It’s unusual look is due to the unusual material: finely structured salmon leather. Choice pieces are vegetable tanned, retaining their characteristic fish scale structure and coloring. The fabric itself is very robust and tear-resistant but still elastic and easy to maintain.
A Czech firm manufactures the Porte-Tout with a zipper running along three sides, so it opens up completely. In addition to coins, bills and IDs, train and airline tickets and writing implements there is even space for a cell phone.
Irish salmon. Tanned in Germany.
The skins are a by-product from the food industry from a bio salmon farm in Ireland. They are tanned and refined in a Bavarian tannery which rediscovered and perfected the old process of fish skin tanning. All they have done is to gatherorally passed down traditional knowledge of this pristine technique. The salmon leather is prepared in such a way to protect it against dirt and dampness.
