Note: If the device is operated with gas cartridges, use only those made by Primus®. The connection of gas cartridges not intended for the stove can pose a danger.
Caution: Gas cartridges and objects with petrol residues must not be taken on board an aircraft, either in hand luggage or checked luggage. If they are found by air safety officials, they will immediately be removed as dangerous goods.
Harsh conditions Full Power. Primus® OmniFuel.
The manufacturer is justifiably proud of this class leader. The Primus® OmniFuel is one of the most powerful expedition stoves: at the North Pole or on Mount Everest expeditions, as well as in the tropics or desert sands, the stove will operate reliably under the harshest conditions with full power – 3,000 watts – and can withstand extreme temperatures, heights and weather conditions. This has not only qualified it as one of the most important tools for an expedition, but it has also garnered many awards. Designed to deliver outstanding performance in any setting, it has an external fuel bottle and can use almost any liquid fuel – petrol, lamp oil, diesel fuel, jet fuel and even natural gas (but not ethanol or wood). The versatility in the use of so many kinds of fuels is particularly helpful when travelling to countries where it is uncertain which gas cartridges or liquid fuels will be available. The Primus® OmniFuel ensures a warm meal or cup of tea anywhere in the world, at any time – for up to four people.
Runs on Anything.
The stove has three nozzles for different fuels (gas, petrol, paraffin), which are screwed into the feet for storage and therefore cannot be lost. The flame can be adjusted very minutely, from simmering to full throttle. The design of the flame regulator takes into account that you might want to operate the stove when wearing gloves.
The Primus® OmniFuel comes with an ErgoPump ™, which is necessary for pressure generation when using liquid fuel, and a multitool (cleaning needle included) plus a windshield with a heat reflector. The gas stove is produced in Estonia.
Primus®. Town to Country Best in Class.
Five years after the first soot-free and portable petroleum cooker had seen the light of day in the workshop of the Swedish engineers Lindqvist and Svenson, it was already able to embark on its first expedition. In 1897, it struck out, via hot air balloon, in the direction of the North Pole, accompanied on its trip by Salomon August Andrée, Knut Frænkel and Nils Strindberg. Since then, a Primus® cooker has been involved in all the great expeditions, whether with Roald Amundsen, on the expedition to the South Pole, with Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay on Mount Everest or with Göran Kropp by bike to the Himalayas. Since then, Primus® has developed stoves for a wide range of applications, whether for summiteers or solo hikers.
One of the most recent developments at Primus® is their Eta technology. It almost doubles the efficiency of the cookers, when compared to conventional models, and raises its rate to nearly 80%, which saves fuel – ergo resources, costs and baggage – and, perhaps most importantly: the food is ready sooner!
Primus® stoves are easy to handle and maintain – the Primus® OmniFuel is the sole model which needs some practice. And they will all do a great job for a very long time. In the (rare) case of repair or wear, the manufacturer has a large stock of spare parts and makes sure that the genuine parts for older models are included.
