Origami-Like Cutting and Folding.
It’s been passed down from generation to generation: the special folding and cutting technique with which a multiply folded sheet of paper is then cut to make the stars of Bethlehem. They’re still being produced by hand, fold for fold, cut for cut, in patterned rows and with painstaking care, but every star is different. The craftswoman usually works free-form, but just for us, she developed three standard patterns for the stars (each pattern comes in a particular size). Directly after the ends have been precisely glued and sewn together, each star receives a fine finish of gold paint, which also adds another degree of stability. And so fine and pretty as it is, it will not only provide the Christmas tree with a crowning touch; it can also be hung with distinction on the wall, in a window or on the door.
