Unbleached and uncut.
Natural sponges, multicellular invertebrates from the family of the porifera, grow in the sea and were already used for bathing in the ancient world. They are pleasant to hold, very hard-wearing and not surpassed by any technical fabric in terms of self-cleaning powers. These so-called "horse sponges" from the Mediterranean are of the very best quality. They feature particularly attractive and tall growth and have regular pores. Ours originate from Greek waters. We buy them from Croll & Denecke, a Bremen company founded in 1897 and still family-run today, which holds a leading position in the European natural sponge trade, thanks to Hanseatic persistence and more than one hundred years of experience.
