Japanese Garden Hoe.
This kind of hoe has been used in Japan since the 15th century – there are hundreds of different shapes and sizes varying from village to village. The blades are made of carbon steel (C55) – thin and sharp underneath, but durable and tough. The slightly domed shape (like a chisel) gives you the added accuracy and precision you might need for closely planted beds. Handle of natural glazed birch.
Versatile garden tool
I was looking for a tool like this which is popular in India for gardening. The quality was evident as soon as the tool arrived. This hoe has perfect balance. It stands both vertically and blade-to-rod on its own. Though the handle is wooden, after months of heavy use in the garden for digging and weeding, it the grip of iron on wood is strong as it was the day it arrived. An exceptionally well-made item that is my favouirite garden tool for easy digging, weeding, and many other tasks. Wholeheartedly recommended!
This is my new favourite gardening tool, very good for quickly cutting out weeds and accurate digging for planting, fixing sprinklers, etc. Very well balanced. This is a tool that uses leverage and balance combined with a sharp cutting edge to dig and cut weeds very effectively. Built to last I will get years of use out of this tool.
