Manufactum Women’s Blazer Coat Herringbone
In our quest to guarantee you the best possible reliability and functionality in products, at times there is the need to be inventive: our team develops tailor-made solutions in-house or recommends product upgrades corresponding to our guiding principles to associated manufacturers.
From the Heart of England.
The fabric of this peaked lapel, slim-tailored coat is light, yet warm. It is made from the untreated and purely natural wool of the Jacob sheep. Jacob sheep are one of the endangered domestic animal species in Germany, in the UK there are more than 3,000 ewes counted. Jacob sheep are imposing; they carry four, in some cases six horns. Characteristic is their drawing with spots in brown and black on a white background. The wool is fine, silky shiny, and elastic. Tints of wool white over brown to gray are natural.
Peaked lapel, slim lines.
The coat features a herringbone fabric that is exclusively woven for us by Marling & Evans in the Cotswolds. It is stitched wide at the collar, lapels, and flaps. A long slit at the back center provides freedom of movement. The coat is closed on three real horn buttons; four such buttons adorn each sleeve. In addition to a breast welt pocket and piped flap pockets, there are two pockets incorporated in the dividing seams beneath the flaps. Inside, there are two piping pockets fitted in the outer fabric tongue, one of which can be closed with drawstring and button.
