Linen Dish Towel
Toiles de cuisine. Dish towels made in France.
Strong, undyed linen yarn of a fineness of Nm 6 is used to produce these robust dish towels, which are woven in plain weave; the edges, with their checkered design, have been Jacquard woven. The weaving mill that produces these towels has had its premises in Armentieres, on the border to Flanders in the heart of one of the most traditional flaxgrowing regions in Europe, for more that 100 years. Charvet specializes in the production of fabrics out of linen and cotton; to their product range belong, amongst others, the robust linen from which previously French working wear (e.g. the "Vareuses" or pea jackets for fishermen) and utility wear for bakers (bakery towels) was made – not only that, but also dish towels.
