Lanius Palazzo Trousers
With Greetings from Marlene.
Classic palazzo trousers, straight cut with wide trouser bottoms, made of a soft cotton fabric. An unusual detail is the waistband that extends above the belt loops. In Morocco, her first Hollywood film from 1930, Marlene Dietrich wore a tuxedo. However, Dietrich also showed herself privately in men’s clothing and was often photographed in a suit and tie. The loose-fitting, high-waisted trousers worn by her were copied so often that they found their way into several fashion encyclopedias under the term "Marlene trousers".
High-Quality, Fair Trade Fashion. From Claudia Lanius.
The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
