Knitting Yarn Made of Recycled Linen
Recycled Linen for Knitting.
An Italian spinning mill has the craftsmanship to spin this knitting yarn so light that it has a summer weight. With a particular consideration of the environment, the yarn is made of 85% recycled linen from linen remainders created by weaving and cutting which are then processed as viscose fibres. These viscose fibres are then spun with natural linen from Belgium whereby the Belgian linen contributes a 15 % percent share to the resulting yarn. The yarn now has the advantages of linen and viscose: It can just as quickly release the moisture it absorbs, making it the ideal fabric for light summer jumpers or scarves. The viscose fibres make the knitting yarn rather flat with a smooth, cool texture, so it is very comfortable in contact with the skin, and its excellent workability makes the knitting easy and fast.
The Best Knitting Wool Throughout the Country. Erika Knight.
Erika Knight is primarily known in Great Britain as the designer of hand-knit fashion. In addition to co-founding the hand-knit brand "Molto!", she has made a name for herself as a consultant for some of the larger brands in the fashion industry. Since 2012 she has been processing her own wool which for the most part comes from British sheep and which is also processed in England. She sets her priorities, namely to employ traditional British craftsmanship and produce natural yarn, and sticks to them. ?The linen knitting yarn offered here is a special feature of her collection: its raw material, a kind of raw fibre, comes from Switzerland and is made from 85% recycled linen. It's combined there with new linen and is spun and dyed in Italy.
