Joah Kraus Men's Short Coat Pilot Cloth
Seafarer Fabric. Pilot Cloth.
The term pilot cloth refers to a thick atlas-weave cotton fabric once used to make work clothes for Dutch seamen. It stems from a time when industrial safety fabrics were made by reinforcing the weave or yarn rather than by adding chemical fibres. This made fabrics hard-wearing and abrasion-resistant. Joah Kraus uses pilot cloth in this short men's coat. The waist width can be adjusted with two button-up straps. The coat features two large flap pockets, one breast pocket with flap and two in-seam pockets.
