Incense Made of Arolla Pine Needles and Wood
Since time immemorial fragrant woods, resins and plants have been burned around the camp fire. These were later employed for ritual and religious purposes, leading to a culture of incense. The term perfume, derived from the Latin "per fumum" (i.e. through smoke), bears witness to this custom down to the present day.

It's good to use the mixture with the little stove and the lava stones. On the lava stones, it can't deflagrate, and the aroma of the incense is slowly and continuously released. Breaking up the needles and shavings before using them will enhance the released fragrance. Just rub the shavings between your fingers, cut the needles in smaller pieces with a pair of scissors and mix them well.
