Hack Canvas Rucksack
Article Number 12550
Canvas and Leather. For the City and Work.
This rucksack made of a strong cotton fabric comes from the Cologne studio Hack Lederware. Leather trims on the large double foldover and bottom provide greater stability – and give the bag a smart office look. Adjustable to five different lengths, the shoulder strap is a made of a much stronger, raw-edged saddle leather, as is the practical carry handle on the foldover flap.
The capacious main bag consists of just one compartment. The foldover flap closes the compartment and fastens with press studs. The foldover itself is held together with a central snap closure. In unfolded form, the rucksack carrying capacity increases so that longer objects can also be carried. Valuables can be stowed away in the large zipped pocket (26 x 21 cm) which is integrated into the interior. An external pocket (22 x 31.5 cm) with leather panel holds book, tickets and anything that has to be retrieved quickly as it is covered only by the foldover top.
Hack Lederware. Lasts Long, Ages Gracefully.
The man behind Hack Lederware is Christoph Hack, founder and fine bag-maker, who runs his own studio in Cologne. For over 30 years, he has been making hard-wearing, functional garments and simple accessories out of natural leathers from Germany, Italy and Scandinavia and robust canvas.
The vegetable-tanned, aniline-dyed leather is processed without an additional finish, irregularities are not concealed by dyes, leaving the surface open-pored and the structure clearly visible. Production takes place at the Hack workshop in Cologne or on the premises of a partner company in Poland.
