Flat Steel Cigarette Case
Deep-drawing. Mass production with class.
Deep-drawing is an industrial mass production procedure employing the so-called tension compression technique. It is an economical means to produce affordable high quality metal parts. In Germany the technique is hardly used for consumer goods today, not for reasons of a lack of quality but because of increased global competition. Our deep-drawn cases made of .5 mm nickel plated flat steel are manufactured in one of the few remaining German firms which use the technique. Thanks to their robust shells, the cases are highly regarded. The bottom and the lid are embossed with a dot pattern.
