These solid walnut or oak boards are for cutting food, but their format is just as suitable for proffering guests a meal, for instance, to serve a hearty snack. Slightly tapered and cleanly finished edges make the boards easy to handle. To clean them, just wipe them off with a damp cloth after use. Apply occasionally some cooking oil to maintain the surface of the wood.
Oak wood has a high tannic acid content. That makes it impervious to bacteria, but in contact with food, it can cause discoloration, which however is hygienically without any consequences.
