The contents of the tin give off an agreeable scent of almonds which older users will recall from "Pelikanol", the earlier German product in wide use. These practical universal adhesives for home and office are based on potato starch and have been in use since the 1920s. One has survived in Italy with the name of "Colla bianca solida per ufficio moderno". A nice touch: The tin features a cylinder in the middle to hold a brush for applying the adhesive.

Fantastic

A fantastic glue! It is similar to the now discontinued Pelikanol glue that came out in 1904 and was produced until the 1960s. You only need very few to glue paper together so this inexpensive tub will last a very long time and smells like marzipan.
