For Cream-Filled Pastries and Ice Cream Cake.
Discreet melting is acceptable, but no puddles, please. Keeping your cakes fresh can be a challenge in the summer if there is no tempered room available. This solid, round cake dish made of stainless steel is familiar from the refrigerated cabinet in many pastry shops and cafés. The pastry stays cold longer, especially when the plate has been cooled down beforehand so that whipped cream, quark, buttercream and ice-cream keep their consistency until the cake makes its debut on the table. Made by Neumann in Solingen.
The Enduring Charm of the Ice Cream Parlour. The Neumann Company.
With continuing their father’s firm Raimund and Detlef Neumann are upholding a piece of café tradition. The metal working company founded in 1924 in Solingen is one of the last in Germany which still produces more than 40 varieties of stainless steel ice cream dishes, serving trays and cutlery for ice cream parlours and cafés. Visual appeal is simply part of the experience of eating a piece of cake or a dish of ice cream. It should, therefore, come as no surprise that the Neumanns have convinced both gastronomes and proprietors of Italian gelaterias to serve their frozen delicacies in Neumann dishes. The products are still all produced in the small firm in Solingen. Their fine processing bears witness to the many steps that go into their making, and they are unmatched in quality and classic design. The Neumann product range with their ice cream dishes, scoops, spoons, trays and cake plates is by no means out of date.
