On the outskirts of this enchanting landscape is the Trappist monastery of Campénéac (Kempenieg in Breton), where the stuff of legends is made, chiefly in the form of Breton cakes and pastries and sweet treats.
Nuns in ordinary, everyday clothes are working hard in the unromantic atmosphere of an austere workspace that is now the bakery.
