All-Weather Boot of Natural Rubber and Canvas

The Packboot – for all weathers.

Originally designed for wear during the hard North American winter, the packboot is well suited for every sort of winter operation – not only for when you’re out of doors in the wet, wind and slush all day, but just as good for walking the dog. It’s become pretty popular - but most manufacturers offer it in a high-tech (we’d say ‘high-synthetic’!) version imported from the Far East. Our all-weather packboot, on the other hand, is made of natural materials only, and comes from South Germany, where it is hand-made. The foot is of natural rubber lined with cotton mesh, and the leg is of sturdy, waxed, oiled canvas. The shaped foot will give both ladies and gentlemen a good, firm feel in bad outdoor conditions, and the characteristic front lacing allows optimal calf-shape adjustment. The removable thick inner sole is of pure wool felt and acts like an ‘air conditioner’ for the foot, warming or cooling it according to outside temperature.

Note:

The boot is very generously cut: please therefore order one size smaller than usual.

Care:

Wash with cold water, and grease the shaft (leg) and seams from time to time.
