The brass buckle is cast and silver-plated. Every belt is marked with the year of production. Width 4 cm. Weight 350g. Length: an increase in length with wear has already been taken into account.

The Offenbach firm of Bernd Kreis has made this belt for us of incomparably sturdy leather of a kind normally only found in professional use. English ox leather is used: about 0.8-1 mm thick, undyed and vegetable tanned. No other leather is as strong and tough as this. The outsides are chamfered, burnished and finally polished with gum arabic to give a smooth, hard edge. The belt expands with use and needs suitably wide waist-loops (try it with Levi Strauss 501XX jeans).
