Full-grain cowhide leather approx. 2 mm thick, 10% chrome and 90% vegetable tanned. Redenbach pit-tanned inner sole ( in German: ‘altgrubengegerbt’ ) leather, cork-reinforced ball of foot, metal joint, sole 10 mm thick. Formed on a ladies’ last.
Well-stitched Cavallo. From Westphalia.
The firm of Cavallo, situated in the Westphalian town of Bad Oeynhausen, is renowned for the quality and correct fit of their shoes: each pair is Goodyear-welted and measured by a German last (not an English one) – Cavallo shoes usually have a rather broad fit and are very comfortable.
The ones here have been especially designed for winter wear, with the famous Swiss Galusser leather and non-slip profile English rubber soles, and are fully lined (including insole and tongue!) with thick and warming lamb’s fleece. The tongue is attached to the boot on one side, making it easier to put on.
Note:
The half-boot may feel a bit tight when you try it on, but it will very soon ‘give’ when warmed by the foot.
