The somewhat narrower shoe is designed for cross-country running. Its tread grips on damp and uneven ground too and the uppers made of black, full-grain and greased cowhide are simple to clean and look after even when very dirty.
Brütting. A real running shoe.
The Brütting sports shoe has been made since the end of the Sixties and is an insider tip among connoisseurs and competitive athletes. It was developed in close co-operation between the Nuremberg shoemaker Eugen Brütting and several coaches and athletes and is today still »handmade in Germany«.
Made of leather - crafted on a last.
The shoes are constructed on a crescent-shaped last. The heel is surrounded by a soft border lining and the sole's edge and back are strengthened with rubber. The sole structure is produced in keeping with a conservative, traditional shoemaking method, which has nothing to do with most processes used today (foamed plastic with enclosed air or gel, etc.). The three-layer structure, with a hard-wearing rubber running sole, wedge and front-to-back middle sole made of cellular rubber, and the chrome-tanned leather insole provide a medium-hard step.
