The bottom together with the 5-cm-high bottom edge have additional 2-mm-thick leather outside reinforcement. The handles are also leather-reinforced and have herring-bone stitching. With original marine fastening clip; 7 large and 1 small brass eyelets. Canvas of 60% linen and 40% hemp, weight of cloth 530 g/ sq.m. Strap 100% linen, with vegetable-tanned leather. A real canvas seaman's bag. The bottom and a 5 cm high bottom edge have been reinforced outside with strong (2 mm thick) vegetable tanned leather (with a high fat content). The handles are also leather-reinforced and have herring-bone stitching. All stitching is of heavy-duty light-coloured yarn. The seaman's bag has been given an original marine fastening clip, seven large eyelets for looping at the top edge and a smaller eyelets of plated brass plus two metal strap adjusters.
