For Bulky Plant Pots: the Manufactum Trolley.

Our own invention: a ceramic trolley combining elegance, solidity and strength, and – its cleverest feature – in the same round shape as the pot, so any extra water overflows directly into it and not on to your patio or sitting room floor. It is made of a special type of fired clay- a natural substance that is frost- and weather-proof and keeps its colour. You can use these trolleys in your sitting-room or conservatory just as well as on patio or balcony. We offer our trolleys in two sizes and with two finishes: unglazed (natural) and dark grey glazed. And we’ve opted for a very special type of glazing, seeing that ceramic products that are regularly exposed to wind and rain have to be extra tough. This is dark manganese glazing, an exclusive invention of our manufacturer. Manganese is a substance that has to be brought to a very high temperature (about 1300° C) before it’s ready for glazing: this means that the glazing is permanently ‘burned’ into the fired clay and sets extremely hard – so firmly, in fact, that water is unable to seep through or under it. The four swivel rollers attached to the underside of the trolley allow the trolley to be easily moved around – if you want your plants to catch a bit of sun for example. One wheel is equipped with a brake. The trolley is specially and exclusively made for us in a ceramic works in central southern Germany – sourcing only local clay.
