The craft of brush-making has evolved over the centuries and with great skill tools were developed to deal with enormously differentiated forms and materials - and suddenly it seems there is next to nothing left of all this. We are trying to halt the loss a little by offering you a range of proper brushes and brooms for all types of work in and around your house. Each filling - always consisting of familiar natural materials - has been carefully chosen, since very different demands are made on the filling materials of brushes and brooms, depending on whether they are designed to scrub, brush, sweep, polish or paint. Incidentally, differentiated use of suitable plant and animal filling materials has continued in the production of technical brushes but for household use there is now practically nothing available but nylon.
