The developing of oil shampoo in the 1920s was a milestone in the history of hair care as it prevented hair from becoming dry and strawy – a thing that used to be unavoidable with the earlier soaps. The main ingredient is Turkish red oil, a substance derived from castor oil. Many dermatologists regret that oil shampoo has been replaced by today's highly complex hair care: it has an excellent cleansing effect and is the gent-lest and least irritating care for scalp and hair you could wish for. But it is different: comparably fluid (use sparingly!) and it produces very little foam – in comparison to the almost explosively foamy products of today. Pure or with sulphur. Our oil shampoo is manufactured in Saxonia, using a formula from 1928: pure, or with an additive of sulphur – very effective against dandruff. Neither of the two contains colour, perfume or preservatives. Try it – it could be for you.
