With a light-coloured rubber treaded sole.
Van Bommel, in the Dutch town of Moergestel, is the oldest shoe factory in Europe. They have been making shoes of the highest quality since 1734 and they still make the stitched middle sole out of leather. Two unmistakable features distinguish a genuine moccasin: the moccasin leaf attached to the back of the heel with slight puckering and the seam which runs along the insole inside the shoe. The material used by van Bommel is also different - genuine, rare Russia leather, slightly oiled, tough yet supple.
The deck shoe was originally a shoe for sailors - comfortable, non-slip, with particularly tight lacing. Today it is a popular leisure shoe, on land or at sea. (Sole thickness 15 mm).
