This oil can be used for either cleaning thin leather or to preserve (take care of) it. It cleans mildly and gives the leather a light oily feeling.
The company Tapir which is in Dassel near Einbeck manufactures their own production of leather care products which are made of natural components since 1983. Many raw materials are used, which have nearly been forgotten such as Carnaubewax from Brazil, shellack wax from India, Jojobal from North America and Lanolin (sheep wool grease) Balsamterpinin, Rizinusl Raps Oil, Coconutfat, and Beewax. All products from Tapir can be clearly defined.
Leather lives. By treating the leather with greasing preservatives it not only looks nicer but it also internally gets the fluid back from the fiber structure of the material, this ensures the reduction of wear and tear. In short: The leather become much softer, more flexible and feels nice to touch.
