When in use the temperature of the carbon filament is lower than that of a tungsten filament, bringing lighting benefits but also the disadvantage of less light for the same energy consumption. So we are not recommending that you use the carbon filament bulb as a permanent substitute for today's light bulbs. But the almost 20 cm long carbon filament does produce a completely glare-free light, similar to candlelight.
