Candles old and new.

The new generation of candle-lamps bear an unmistakable similarity to their waxen forbears! Actually, this sort of lamps has been around since the 1930s, when they were used as candle substitutes in churches and chapels. They spread a soft, pleasant light, easy on the eye – you don't need to "hide them under a bushel" or cover them with a shade. Our partners are a Swiss firm – the last manufacturer of these lamps left in Europe – and a specialist firm that produces for this traditional form of lighting new, unfussy nickelplated steel holders and sockets. These form a harmonious whole with the slim tubular bulb and add to its character.

Our holders and sockets fit all bulbs with E 27 thread. They go particularly well with our Swiss candle bulbs, for which they have been specially designed. Table stands and wall brackets are of nickel-plated steel with a brushed cellulose surface.
