The few genuine hardware or ironmonger stores still in business form a sharp contrast to the rest of the product world of our day. They are so flat that they can point inwards or outwards without restricting the functioning of the door. In contrast to other hooks they do not stick out, their small points are pressed tight into the fold or top edge of the door and also permit you a theatrical exit - the coat can be yanked from the hook without the hook flying through the air after it or you. Suitable also for moist areas - stainless steel does not rust.
