Elfenbein filing equipment.

The Elfenbein firm of bookbinders in East Berlin has been manufacturing card index holders and other filing equipment since 1870. This firm was able to just ignore many a socialist dictum as there was a constant demand for their pro-ducts from museums and archives throughout the Eastern Bloc. The Elfenbein card index boxes are carefully made by hand using plywood and marbled paper. They are extremely tough and can be stacked.
