Freud's magic board.

Sigmund Freud thought the magic board was a perfect model for the human memory. Whatever is written on the surface (Freud: that of which one is consciously aware) leaves behind traces on the wax background, even when the board is cleared. Freud wrote a short essay on this in 1925. We thought this both scientifically and culturally important and that it deserved better than to be used as a toy in a plastic frame, so we have given it a stainless steel frame for use as a memo board.
