Spindle nutcrackers crack even the hardest nuts with a minimum amount of effort and without the unfortunate side-effect of breaking the nut as well as its shell. The muscle force required to turn the spindle, multiplied many times by the spindle size and torque, puts direct pressure on the nutshell. This force can be stopped, delayed or intensified at the slightest cracking noise. So this attractive spindle nutcracker, made in Switzerland since 1951, is a prime example of its type, both aesthetically and technically pleasing.
The body and wing nut are made of nickel-plated die-cast zinc and the easy-running, neatly finished spindle and yoke are of chromium-plated rass.
