Of all the models in the extensive strainer press range from Charlotte Giebel's Columbia Works, only the pureeing strainer has maintained its popularity in today's kitchen for over five decades now. This wonderful device is made under licence by the Funke Brothers in West Germany.
In keeping with the prototype, the new model is also made entirely from stainless steel. However, the new strainer has a new body: a cylindrically tapered half dish allowing food to be pushed through more smoothly; two sturdy pot hooks give a good hold on bowls and pans. The blade now covers 3/4 of the total sieve surface; and a metal bar scrapes all pureed food off the bottom.
