Orange peeler.

First produced in Germany in the 1960s when immensely popular, this ingenious device for peeling citrus fruit eventually ceased production despite its reputation. Using the projecting »tear blade«, peel a thin strip around the centre of the orange, then pass the flat wire loop under the peel and turn the fruit through 360°. Any remaining skin can be removed using the lightly polished knife.
This tool is a pleasure to use. And yes, it is absolutely okay if you get carried away a bit when peeling (see photograph).
