This pan is hot-forged in one piece as you can see from the hooked handle, which is neither welded nor riveted, and by the surface with its heat-resistant reddish-brown to greenish-grey tinge. The manufacturers give a 10-year warranty for material and production faults but the the pan will last much longer. The cooking surface will eventually turn black - and its performance will get even better. The pans are suitable for use on all types of cooker, but as these hand-forged pans are not always perfectly flat, they are better suited to open flame, gas or barbecue cooking.
