Outside lights. Bolich outside wall lamp.
This outside light has a heavy cast-iron socket and a wall arm of black enamelled cast aluminium. The shade is black outside, and has a white matt interior. To make sure the wall rosette is waterproof, the attachment fittings are made of rubber-proofed aluminium.
This outdoor light comes with a heavy cast iron socket holder, a wall mount and an arm made from black cast aluminium. The shades diameter is 25 cm, black exterior, the interior reflector is white and powder coated.

Cast aluminium outside lamp with protective guard.
This lamp is made of cast aluminium and glazed glass facing. It was designed to be mounted on outside plaster surfaces, and you can open it with the six-sided screw-key provided. Socket E 27 (max. 60 watt). IP rating 45.

Before the invention of electric lighting, the substances that provided light were oil and wax. The articles on the following pages are evidence of the technical skill and aesthetic sense that have always traditionally accompanied lamps and lights using these substances.
Candlelight without dripping: “Bougies trouées” from Brittany.
These candles have been made for almost 100 years by a manufacturer in Brittany using a special technique whereby deep holes in the wax are made around the wick which the hot liquid wax can then run into instead of dripping over the candlestick. This way, the candle burns more steadily and flickers less. These candles were originally designed to be used in churches, where the continuous draughts aggravated the natural dripping of ordinary candles. Today they can also frequently be found in French restaurants, where eating is in any case a near-religious experience!
