The heaviest winter socks – a half pounder.

It is quite impossible to make socks heavier and warmer than this on a machine. It may work with knitting needles, but then they wouldn’t be as tightly knit. A sevenfold knit of 11 Nm thick yarn creates socks that weigh close to half a pound. They are made of natural, un-dyed lamb’s wool, with strengthened toe and heel. The socks are hand-looped. Any level of ground frost becomes negligible, but don’t even think about wearing them in elegant shoes. These socks are made for boots and wooden clogs.
