At your service! Our big desk organizer provides enough room for just about anything the busy desk worker needs. It is put together on the unit construction principle – and how else, considering it has been designed by an architect. And as far as the writing goes – if you are among the few who are still sending out actual letters (on paper and handwritten with a pen, not just typed on a computer and forwarded via electronic mail!), check out our writing utensils and the ‘Original Crown Mill’ writing paper from Belgium.

The sledge is perhaps the oldest form of transportation known to man, but in the course of time came to be used more and more for fun – on downhill rides, as in 1833, when the first competitive run was held in the Swiss Alps. You won’t need a horse to set our toboggans in motion – a slope down a hill would do, or maybe a person to tow you (unless you’re the one having to tow the kids through the snow). Whether you’re in for a fast ride or a classic run on the ‘Davos’ toboggan – we have the right model for you.

Let it snow! Our winter overcoats and jackets will keep you warm in any winter weather – see for example our sheepskin jackets. They make use of the natural insulation of wool, as do our hand knitted ladies’ accessories from Scotland: thick lambswool scarves and caps. Made of a lighter wool felt – and still warming – is one of our classic men’s hats: the ‘Stetson’.

Fresh from orchard to jar – our citrus fruit marmalades are a breakfast classic. One is prepared from bitter oranges and comes from Lake Garda, the other is a Sicilian mandarin marmalade. For both the fruit are hand-picked and concocted the traditional way – to preserve all the flavour. Or try our delicious Bonnat chocolates from France, made from regional cocoas: you can taste where they come from! Our French ‘confiture de lait’ adds a creamy and sweet touch to your breakfast waffles or crêpes – perfect for a festive start into the day on Boxing Day (when you’ve opened all your presents).

Whether you need to chop firewood or cut a tree – maybe ‘shape’ the trunk of your Christmas tree to fit it into the tree stand – we have all the necessary tools. Our axes and hand choppers with hickory wood handles are hand forged with great care in Sweden and made from a special alloyed axe steel. Along with the hardware we have a rather complete range of ‘accessories’ on offer: a large firewood basked hand-woven from willow branches for example or a canvas firewood bag to keep beside the fireplace.

There’ve been coffee houses in Vienna since the end of the 17th century. The story goes that the beverage reached Vienna in the wake of the second Turkish siege of the city, when the Emperor’s troops, having raised the siege, brought with them the first sacks of coffee beans – as booty. The coffee house culture of the 18th century has left its mark on many European capitals, but none more so than on Vienna, with its incredible variety of coffee brands and mixtures and the cafés or ‘houses’ where these are served – for generations now, the centres of artistic and cultural life. It would be sad if the modern ‘coffee to go’ trend were to bring this tradition to an end. » Vienna Coffee House...
The ‘Liliput’ has now been reproduced with an aluminium body – the original was of ebonite. When closed, it’s only a little bigger than an ordinary filter cigarette. The cap is equipped with a two-way thread that can be used either to screw it tight or elongate it to a full-length pen. This way it’s small enough to fit into a shirt pocket or be used for hours of writing if need be. Kaweco have also made a leather case big enough for two Liliput pens.

Who said slippers were boring? We offer slippers made of elk leather, wool from Tyrolean stone sheep, or one-piece wool felt (with elegant red velvet border). They come from renowned Austrian makers, and it’s our opinion that Austrian slippers have a certain ‘character’ that you don’t find elsewhere.

Chamois-tanned deer-skin gloves in two beautiful shades – red and olive, with the original yellow deerskin shade inside (a glimpse of this appears at the end of the glove). They’re really the last word in quality and style – for discerning ladies and gentlemen. Made in south-west Germany, a traditional glove-making area. We also offer a baby alpaca scarf, respectably long (180 cm), and – in embroidered charcoal or grey – suitable for either town or country wear.
